The confusion of Hungarian transport networks was the first challenge of tour with many unfortunately suffering the occasional fine. However, once we’d all (eventually) arrived at the hostel, tour began almost instant-ly.
A prosecco and beer bike tour was the best way to properly kick off tour as the light exercise and extreme competitiveness made up for the lack of lacrosse being played. Additionally, we attempted to get a dose of Hungarian culture at the Gellert Spa as another potential way to cool off, but for many it simply resulted in a large dose of sunburn.
Some other highlights of the week had to be the activities of Boys & Girls day, the strawpedo world championships and dunking one another at the water park.
We also had plenty of free time to explore the lovely city of Budapest whether it be at Buda-Castle, Parliament, golf karting or a terror museum - there was plenty to do.
Finally, We ended tour with a boat party where we got some great views of all the sights from the river as well as the sight of the Men’s 2s drenching themselves in beer.
Thanks to Ed, Harriet, Sam and Lara for organising a great tour - can’t wait for the next one!
